As September comes to a close, Winter is packing its bags and summer is fast moving in. September seems to be a month where the weather gets caught in an intense struggle and we fluctuate between scorching hot days and the last chilly winter storms. We have just had a small amount of rain and this morning green is slowly creeping up each blade of grass. What a welcome sight that is at the end of winter. Game drives have been wonderfully busy and this month has been full of cheetah, lions, and elephants in particular. We have had a very persistent male leopard making himself at home in camp at Rhino River Lodge. His favorite accommodation seems to be the Cottage, where he has been seen a couple of times relaxing on the verandah. As always, life in the bush is full of delightful
surprises!
