Emma’s passion for travel began after buying her first Inter-railing ticket around Europe. She has been fortunate enough to travel extensively since that first adventure, including several trips to Africa.
After finishing university, Emma set off on her first big trip further afield and backpacked through South Africa and Zimbabwe for 3 months. Highlights included white water rafting down the Zambezi river, driving up the picturesque Garden Route in South Africa’s Eastern Cape, searching for the ‘Big Five’ on safari and bungee jumping at Victoria Falls. This is where her love of Africa began and since then she has been lucky enough to enjoy several further holidays including her honeymoon to Cape Town and the wine region.
After her time in Africa, Emma spent 8 months travelling around Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia, further enhancing her love of travel. On her return Emma worked in the travel industry for several years, specialising in tailor-made, long haul holidays. During this time, Emma continued her love of adventure through shorter trips. Walking the Inca Trail in Peru, relaxing on the beaches in Thailand, visiting the tea plantations in Sri Lanka and walking along the Great Wall of China, to name but a few.
Emma now works as an independent travel consultant for Travel Counsellors, an international company established in 1994, which has offices in 7 countries around the world. As your Travel Counsellor, Emma can tailor-make any experiences you are searching for and is here to provide a reliable, flexible and personal service to fit around you.
