Wild Diary
On the 27th April, Ladies from the Mama Africa Travel Group spent a few days at Leopard Mountain Safari Lodge, unlike most holidays these ladies came to our reserve with a heartwarming agenda – To help those less fortunate! Frances, the Zululand Rhino Reserve Foundations coordinator, met with this inspiring group of ladies and showed then all the work that the Foundation do with the neighboring communities. These include monthly food drops at the two local crèche’s, maintenance and termly events. She also touched on the work that the Foundation do with the local rural schools such as the Gr.7 game drive project, Rhino Art, matric study camps etc. After seeing the needs of the community the Mamma Africa Ladies generously donated toys, stationary and a cash donation of R1600.00 which was used to help pay for the monthly food drop. The community crèche children were very excited to receive the gift of toys and stationary and warm winter woollies for the winter. There are no words to thank Wenche and her group for their kind contribution towards our community, every little bit goes a long way and will be ever appreciated by those touched by their kindness!!!
